My father-in-law, Barry, is in the Navy and has been sent to Haiti to help rebuild and work to get things put back together over there. He found out he was being sent only days before he had to actually leave. Talk about a shocker! Though it's not 100% certain yet, he could be there up to a full year. Please pray for his safety, strength, and health... as well as strength and encouragement for my mother-in-law, Shirley, as she will be alone and without her husband for quite some time. Please tell your sweet in-laws how much we appreciate their service to our country, and to the people of Haiti! We'll be praying for him time in Haiti to be fruitful and SHORT!
( I realize that Shirley isn't going, but I think the military wives sometimes have the harder job back home..)
