It's still so weird to think that Anderson is two. You know how it goes... it seems like he was just born, but at the same time seems like he's been here forever. He is certainly growing up, that's for sure. Here's what he's up to at 2 years:
Stats:
- Weight: 24.8 lbs (15%)
- Height: 33 cm (20%)
- Head: 48 cm (30%)
He continues to be our little guy, but he's definitely growing consistently. It's still strange to me how little Anderson is since Camden was always in the 70th percentiles!
Eating:
This continues to be a source of frustration for us. You just never know how mealtime will go with this little one. He could clean his plate, or not take a single bite. I try my hardest not to get stressed out about it, because I DO know that he will not starve. His favorite foods are blueberries, cheese, and pretzels. He likes tons of other things as well, but I believe he'd be very content if this was what we fed him for every meal. :)
Sleeping:
Anderson has become a great napper. Not that he wasn't good before, but I feel like in the last 3 months he has really become an awesome napper. He sleeps about 2.5 hours every afternoon. I lay him down at 1pm, and I almost always have to wake him up at 3:45 to go pick up Camden from school. I literally pick him up out of his crib and take him outside to put him in the car. He's usually a little groggy, but nothing a good snack can't fix. He goes down at night between 7:30 and 8, and his waking time always varies. Some days its 6am, other days its 7:30am. We love our unpredictable boy. :) He does take a while to fall asleep in the evenings... he'll talk and talk until we finally don't hear him anymore.
Language:
Anderson is quite the little motor-mouth. :) He talks rather clearly and has started using many multiple-word phrases. The longest one that comes to mind that he said recently is "it's in the box over there". That was his response when I asked him where Thomas (the train) was. He's always asking questions, especially in the car. He also loves to point out every. little. thing. he. sees. The other day, I laughed out loud when he yelled "bald eagle!" when pointing to a regular old bird. Oh, what a funny guy.
Behavior:
Anderson definitely isn't quite as easy-going as Camden is. I don't think I ever had to tell Camden not to take a toy from another child, or to stop smacking someone on the head. With Anderson, those have become quite common words for me. I think I've only seen him take toys that belong to him (when someone is over at our house playing with his things), so we are really working on sharing. He has also learned how to appropriately use the word "noooo!" when I tell him it's time to change his diaper or leave to take Camden to school. (Sigh.) I am welcomed back full force into toddler behavior... woohoo!
Playing:
Anderson loves trains, trucks, puzzles, and coloring. One of his new favorite activities (pictured below) is when I mix up all the pieces of two or more puzzles. He loves the challenge of putting them all back in the right puzzle. He is hugely into Thomas, and is starting to learn the names of all the different trains. It's so cute. Again, something new to me since Camden was never into Thomas. Give this kid some paper and crayons and he'll be happy for half an hour. Comes in handy during dinner preparation. :)
Oh we just love this little man to pieces! He has such a fun-loving personality and is usually so happy. He loves to laugh, give hugs and kisses to his family, and get messy. What a joy this little boy is.

Awww :) thanks for the update!
I have never heard anyone outside of my family use the phrase, "Love you to pieces" before... :)
he is precious...and that big ol' smile is just too cute!
sweet sweet boy. It is so amazing to me how similiar he and JD are with their size, sleeping habits, eating habits, etc. We still can't believe he is 2 either. It was just yesterday we were visiting you in the hospital before his arrival!!!
