sixty

It was 60 degrees here yesterday!!! In January! Oh, my heart was so full of joy. I never want to be one of those people that wishes away time... but sometimes I can't help but feel that way during these long winter months. I was not meant to be a bear who hibernates all winter. Having two rambunctious boys doesn't help the situation either. I'm sure they'd happily go out in their hat and gloves and play for hours until I made them come inside, but having young ones who can't be outside alone makes that difficult. I am the one who can't stand to be outside in the cold when it cuts right through your clothes and makes you feel like your bones are turning to ice. If we had a big fenced in backyard, I'm convinced life in the winter would be a little easier. Just a little. But we don't. So, all that to say... when I heard the weather was going to be pretty yesterday, you better believe we made plans to be outside a lot of the afternoon! We stayed after school to play on Camden's school playground with a couple of friends. I also had my camera ready to snap some cute outside pictures (my favorite kind)... which we haven't had a lot of recently!

Sooooo with you on the fence! The dead of winter is much like noon in August- neither is fun to be outside for moms! I would gladly let mine run free on their own if I could!
