38 weeks

2 weeks until my "due date" (which we all know means absolutely nothing, but its nice to have a date to look forward to)!

I hope this baby comes soon. I told myself I would enjoy every minute of this pregnancy, but I think the way I'm feeling right now is inevitable. I'm just plain uncomfortable!

Mornings are my best time if day. That's when I try to be as productive as I can. I often fail at that. :)

By 4pm, my body starts yelling at me. My back and legs will ache, and my hands and feet have also started to swell in the evenings. Lovely!

This baby has been doing a lot of moving, despite its lack of room to do so. Sometimes I have to stop what I am doing and let the moving/rolling around pass, because it can get so uncomfortable. However, I know this is something I will miss once I'm not pregnant anymore.

I have started packing our hospital bag, and have a big checklist that has everything else I need to throw in when the time comes, since I know i'll be too scatterbrained to remember everything. My doctors keep telling me I need to get to the hospital as quick as I can once I realize I'm in labor, after Anderson's labor and delivery being so quick. So, when I think it's time, I'm going to GO!

Everyone and their dog thinks this baby is a girl. Except for this one old lady at the mall who very confidently told me I was carrying a boy because I looked low. I was sitting down though, so I'm not really sure how she could tell. We'll see, old lady, we'll see. Do I finally have an inkling of what it is? Nope. Very ready to find out, though.

I have been craving chocolate ice cream recently, and may or may not be eating it twice a day.

Sleeping has gotten much more difficult. I wake up much more often than I used to, and you should see how long it takes me to flip from one side to the other. It's like a 5-step process: 1. Take pillow that I use between my legs, and sling it to the side I want to flip to. 2. Roll over onto my back. 3. Attempt to use my arms to lift myself up and over to the other side. 4. Place pillow back between my legs. 5. Hope I can fall back asleep. I also use the bathroom 2-3 times a night.

You know this is the third child when the "nursery" looks worse than it did before I was pregnant. 2 weeks before the due date. :) The room as of right now is my catch-all room for clothes that I'm in the process of putting in the attic, plus every piece of baby gear that we have. The swing, the bouncer, the carseat, the bumbo, etc. are all sitting in there, waiting to be used. Also, because we don't know the gender of the baby, there's not a whole lot of decorating I can do. I know some people are appalled by the fact that I've done nothing, but a) the baby doesn't know the difference, b) the baby will sleep in our room for the first several weeks anyway, and 3) I'll have more energy and mobility to do stuff in the baby's room after the baby comes, so that's the story I'm stickin' to.

I went to the doctor this morning and got a good report. My weight gain has slowed down a bit, despite all that chocolate ice cream, which I won't complain about. Baby is definitely head down (praise!) and the doctor said from what she could tell, this seems to be a pretty small/good sized baby. I won't complain about that either! I was checked for dilation and nothing much happening in that department, which doesn't really matter at this point.

Two (give or take) weeks until we get to meet this sweet child and actually be able to call it a "him" or a "her"! Can.not.wait.

I have a guess, but I'll not share in the comment section.

Just a reminder..while you won't be pregnant anymore, the extra energy will be spent caring for THREE. Don't push yourself too hard. If I remember correctly, it was after my number 3 that I needed your help the most! (btw, K1 and I are here to help you when you need us!)

You are just the cutest pregnant momma I've ever seen!

Praying for you!! Can.not.wait!
