I experienced one of the proudest mom moments a few weeks ago. All of the kids in grades 1-3 at Brooks entered into a poster contest. The theme was diversity, and you could choose to draw whatever you wanted. Camden (being the animal lover he is) chose to draw 3 different animals. He named it "Diversity in Africa". I love that when he heard the word "diversity", he thought of animals instead of people. I love a child's mind.
He spent several weeks working on this poster, only at school. I never got to see it (and really didn't even know he was working on it) until he was done. Well, here's where the proud mommy moment comes in: One finalist was chosen from each grade, and my Camden was the finalist chosen out of the entire first grade!!!! Then, out of those 3 finalists, Camden was awarded second place!!! Oh, you better believe I was busting at the seams with joy over this! I was so proud of Camden, and the sweet little guy was so humble about it all.
Without further adieu, here's the winning artwork!
SO proud of you, buddy!!!

That is SO good! Is that water coming out of the elephant's trunk? So cute! Pretty sure his giraffe beats anything I could draw!

i always love his artwork. the perspective of the face on the giraffe is awesome! it's all so good.
That is my nephew! I just wanted to jump up and run to your house and give him a high-5 (I am sure a hug from the aunt is totally getting outgrown :)!!! What a great artist and even cooler kid!!! So proud of him!
Your boys are so talented when it comes to drawing! Definitely a better picture than I could draw... ever. Tracing things is the extent of my artistic ability. LOL
That's awesome that he got second! Not surprised though, seeing his picture!
He is such an incredible young artist! Of course he inherited it from both sides of the family. We love his God given talents!
whoa, he has come a long way since his animal drawings he did for us at the Durham Bulls games a few years ago ;) He is so talented.

Congrats Cam! This one needs to go in a frame on the wall!
