Evelyn loves to eat and drink everything that isn't hers. She wants my food, her daddy's food, and her brothers' food. Constantly. This one particular day David shared his hot tea (that wasn't very hot anymore) with Evelyn. She loved it, of course. It wasn't hers, after all.
We went to the park one day in an attempt to get out of the house and get some wiggles out. It was freezing. Spring, I'm READY!
Who needs toys when you've got a good box to play with?
Evelyn has recently started playing with the toy kitchen that is in her room. Many days when we are upstairs and I'm doing some cleaning or getting dressed, I'll find her in there banging around.
One morning after we went to the gym I had to run to Target to get a couple of things. I remembered that I had a coupon for a free pastry item when you buy a drink from Starbucks. I thought it'd be fun to sit in the little cafe area and have a mini-date with my girl. I got a shaken iced tea lemonade (mmmmmm) and a huge blueberry muffin (double mmmmmm). Of course, Evelyn wanted to hog it since it wasn't hers. I let her, though. That cheesy grin makes me laugh every single time.
We love froyo. We probably go about twice a month. A new Menchie's opened up near(ish) us recently so we went to check it out. They all have these giant chalkboards, and the kids love to draw on it when they're done with their yogurt. Anderson was still eating his this particular day and Camden headed to the board. To do math. What a crazy child. He's not mine, I'm sure of it.
Oh, I LOVE my Bath & Body Works soaps. I love to have the appropriate scent for each season, but I almost always end up putting out the upcoming season's scent early every year. I'll put out pumpkin spice soap in August or September instead of October, and I just put out this Caribbean escape soap in March. I put them out when I am over the current season. Winter, I am over you. I need some Caribbean in my life. Or, at the very least, a couple of 70 degree days. Mkay?
A little morning train play while biggest brother is at school. Anderson was so sweet to get it all out and let Evelyn share with him. He was explaining it all to her.
Time to make my meal plan and grocery list. This is no small task, and it can take me a little while. Evelyn didn't like that I was sitting at the table instead of playing with her, so I invited her up there with me to "write". Bingo. She was happy for the next 20 minutes.
Thank you, fridge animals, for keeping my daughter happy for 5 minutes while I cook dinner. (I realize 5 minutes isn't long, but it I'll take what I can get. 5 minutes is wonderful when you don't have a screeching toddler pulling at your pants.)
Evelyn has started making this face where she cuts her eyes up at you and will then laugh. It's hysterical and it makes me laugh every single time.
Anderson had Donuts for Dudes at preschool yesterday. The daddies (or uncle or grandather, or mom) get to go and have "morning meeting" with the kids and get a little glimpse into their morning routine. David said it was so fun to see Anderson in his preschool element. They had donuts together and then the kids presented their dads with this little questionnaire. I LOVE these things. I still have Camden's from when he was in this same class. Funny little tidbit: Camden's answer for "My Dad is as tall as..." was "an elephant". Funny how they both used that answer! I also love that he said his favorite food was stromboli. I've made it twice in the last year, and he never orders it at restaurants. And then of course, the last question cracks me up. Oh, Anderson.
Evelyn decided she wanted to crawl all over Anderson while he watched a movie. He is so good to let her do this most of the time.
However, in this picture it looks like he wasn't feelin' it. (His hair hadn't been fixed yet in this picture. Just fyi.)
How about a little heel in the eyeball to finish it off?
