last first day

Today was Anderson's last first day of preschool.  I can't believe it is already time to start again!  I am so excited about this year for Anderson.  He has the same teachers Camden did at this age, and they are so great.  It's such a fun year for the kids, and his teachers do a wonderful job of preparing the kids for Kindergarten.  They really work hard to help the kids be independent and really know what it means to stand in a line, wait turns, raise hands, etc.  They learn so much this year, too.  Camden was reading and writing basic words by the time he finished this class, so I'm curious to see how Anderson will progress.  He's got several friends in his class, so he wasn't nervous one bit.  So excited about this new school year!

Sweet boy enjoying a yummy oatmeal breakfast.

Yes, his backpack is bigger than him!!! (Well, it's really just a bad angle, but it really is a big backpack.)

Holden and Prue, two of Anderson's besties that he's known since before he was born :)  Excited that they'll all be together this last year!

Evelyn just had to get in on the picture.

Our preschool does half days on the first day to ease the kids in.  It's a good thing for kids who have a hard time separating from their parents.  For us, though, it's sort of a pain.  He was only there from 9-10:30.  Thankfully, there's a Target a half mile away and I had a list.  Evelyn and I wandered around for quite a while.  She's upset with me in this picture because I wouldn't let her get out of the cart.  I refuse to let her run around the store like a wild animal.  Plus, she'd run away from me if I took my eyes off of her for even a second.  Sorry kiddo!  You're staying put!

Last but not least, a side-by-side of Anderson on his very first day of preschool back in 2010, and his first day today.  I barely remember that baby boy in that picture!  Boy, do they grow up fast.

I'm proud of you, Anderson!  Can't wait to see how you'll blossom this year!
