happy 2nd birthday, evelyn!

Evelyn, you are TWO years old!  You are spunky, sweet, silly, smart, loving, and of course, opinionated.  You are two, after all.  All of these things make up who you are and I love it... even when it's difficult.  I am looking forward to what this year will bring and can't wait to see how you grow and change!

You are such a ham.  You love to be silly in front people and get attention from everyone.  (Let's hope that little trait subsides before too long.)  You LOVE to be outside.  Whether it's at a park or just walking the neighborhood, you're in your happy place when you're outside.  You are such a sweet little mommy to your baby dolls.  Your dadd and I are amazed to see how caring you are with them.  No one taught you how to rock or pat your baby's back when you're holding her.  It just comes naturally and I love that!  You are also very empathetic.  When you hear another child crying in public you say "he/she cry" and you have a very concerned look on your face.  You love to give your brothers hugs when they are hurt or sad.  Love your sweet little heart.

Your eating these days isn't great.  You will eat something one day that you won't touch the next.  You'll eat pretty much anything, depending on the day.  You LOVE your milk, though, so I guess that's where you get most of your calories.  Oh well... I know you'll love to eat one day!  Your sweet tooth is out of control, and I have NO clue where you could've possibly gotten that from. Ahem.

You are a good sleeper, sleeping 10-11 hours a night and napping about 1.5 - 2 hours. However, the past couple of months, you've been SCREAMING when we lay you down and it is about to drive me and your daddy crazy!!!  We love you, dear baby girl, but the screaming has got to stop.  Pretty please?!

Your vocabulary is growing!   You don't talk as much as your brothers did at this age, but we're not too worried, and your doctor isn't worried one bit.  You're plenty vocal and have a good amount of words, and you understand everything we say or ask you to do.  It won't be long that I'll be asking you to stop talking for one reason or another. ;) 

When I mentioned above that you're opinionated, I meant it.  You, sweet girl, like to let us know when something isn't going as you wanted it to.  You can scream and thrash around like the best of 'em.  When you're really mad, you hit your leg.  Over and over.  It's like you think you're punishing us somehow by doing that.  Might want to think again, sweetheart. ;)  You are also working on 2-year molar #2.  Those things are killing you and I'm pretty sure those are attributing to your two-year-old attitude.  Two down, two to go.  I know they're painful, sweetie.  I'm trying to be patient!  

At two years, you weigh 26.1 lbs (59%), and are 34.25 inches tall (57%).  We are so proud of our sweet, healthy little girl!  Evelyn, you are SUCH a joy to us all and we are so thankful God blessed us with you!!!
