One more week and I'll be halfway done with this pregnancy. It's hard to believe! I feel like my tummy has doubled in size just in the last 2 weeks. I better get used to it, right? This little boy is very active! I feel him several times throughout the day...and they are getting stronger all the time! They went from being light thumps to what feels like light punches. At the doctor the other day, they told me he weighed 9 ounces. So...for those of you who want the whole story about what happened the other day during the ultrasound...here it is:
David, Camden and I went into the room and the first thing I told the ultrasound tech was "we DON'T want to know what we are having". So, she started the ultrasound and we saw the heart, the spine, and THEN we saw...yes...the manhood. She has to measure the baby's femurs, and to do that, the baby's gender is very clearly plastered on the screen. Well, I didn't even think that she would do that without telling me. I assumed she would say "I am getting ready to measure the femurs, and the baby's "this or that" will be visible on the screen...so if you don't want to know, I suggest you look away". However, she didn't say a word!!! David and I both saw that it was clearly a little boy. I didn't say a word though. My heart just started racing and I just thought to myself...it's ok, maybe it wasn't what I thought it was. So, after the ultrasound we went in to talk to my doctor about routine stuff, and the whole time I was just going crazy about what I thought I saw. I decided it would be torture for me to go the rest of the 21 weeks knowing what I saw was a boy, but not being just 100% sure. So i decided to go back and find the ultrasound tech and say..."so we changed our mind...it's a boy isn't it?" She just laughed and said yes. I am just a little curious to know how many people this has happened to at this office. Maybe someone needs to tell her to be a little more aware of the fact that some people aren't ignorant and are pretty good at reading ultrasounds. Emily, you're up next - I expect you to be the one to tell her! ;) Oh well, maybe next time it can really be a surprise!
Anyway...19 weeks...the baby now is approximately 6 inches long, and supposedly hair is starting to sprout from the scalp. I wonder what color it is?! Can't wait to meet our sweet boy! Camden was a little disappointed to find out the baby wasn't a girl, but I think he's getting more and more excited about having a little brother to teach things to. I know they will be great buddies!

You look so beautiful and we can't wait to see you all on Thursday in Highlands!
Haha- I'll set the US tech straight, don't you worry. You and pregnancy go well together, my dear. Love the tummy-shots!!! Tell your parents hi for me!
So, I think Camden will be more happy if you give in and let him name this new baby boy "Lassie"!!
Oh my goodness! I just say a link to your blog from the Dingle's and you are just the cutest!! I hope that you guys are doing well.

You look great Ashley! I'm feeling the baby kick all the time too. At the dr., they told me I measuring for Oct. 14th, but obviously they still say the due date is the 19th. The pool that we were at on the blog is Millbrook Exchange. I bet Camden would love it!
