family reunion

Last weekend, my mom's side of the family had a reunion in Gatlinburg, TN. It was so fun getting to go to the mountains and see family that we hadn't seen in so long. Some weren't able to make it, but we are already planning another one for next year and hope they can make it then. I am just such a family person. I love getting to see extended family as often as possible. Unfortunately, I was HORRIBLE with taking pictures while we were there. I got hardly any of the family, which is terrible! The few I did get weren't very good, so they aren't making the blog. I did get some pictures from a petting zoo we went to. It was just me, Camden, my sister Bonnie, becca (my sis-in-law), and my parents. David and my brother took the little ones back to nap, so they missed out on the fun. Maybe we will go again next year. They had all kinds of neat animals just for looking at, and then a bunch you could pet. It was such a fun time!

The best part of the whole thing was a big room willed with these little birds (I think they were Parakeets). They gave us a little stick with bird food on the end of it, and birds would come right up and land on your arm/hand to eat the food! At first I was a little nervous, thinking the birds were going to peck at my hands, but they were so sweet and just ate the bird food. Camden LOVED it. I think we all did!

There was this gigantic Emu that almost didn't even look real. My dad got brave and let it peck at his hands a little. I was just fine not touching him. :)
