sunday afternoon adventure

Last Sunday, I wanted to do something a little different with the boys. On the way home from church, we were debating whether we should go ahead and let Anderson nap, and have a quiet and relaxing afternoon at home, or skip his nap and do something adventurous. We opted for adventurous (although I think my hubby was hoping for more of a lazy afternoon).
We decided to drive over to the art museum and hop on the greenway that runs right next to it for a walk. We had never been on that part of the greenway before, and it was so neat! The art museum has neat sculptures and pictures all along the way for miles. So, it was more than just a path in the woods, which was fun. After a couple of miles, there is a big bridge that crosses over 440. We decided we wouldn't bring the stroller, which I think we were regretting on the way back to our car, after walking several miles. It was hot (but not as hot as it could have been!) and we were definitely worn out after it was over. But, it was something fun and different that we hadn't done in a while, and we all got some great exercise!

i love the coloring of this picture David took and edited!
