As I have mentioned thousands of times already, we have spent a LOT of time at the pool so far this summer. Anderson is at a much better age for the pool this year than he was last year. Last summer, he was just pulling up on stuff, so he would be standing on the steps holding onto the wall, but if he lost his balance it was bad news. This year he can pace along the steps and even stand in the shallow part at the bottom of the stairs. We've been visiting friends' pools and our own, and have even made a trip to the Sprayground. So fun!
I would say Camden is 85% swimming on his own. He can swim well all by himself for short distances. We have signed him up for his 2nd round of swim lessons in July. Hopefully that will be the icing on the cake and he will be good to go for the rest of the summer, since he will be getting lots of practice. Anderson has come a long way since the first time we went to the pool this summer. He will now jump in all by himself (if I stand there with my arms open encouraging him to jump to me) and will go under water each time. He thinks it's quite amusing! I am so thankful to have 2 water babies. I guess they take after their mama (and daddy, too). I have always loved the water.
These pictures are from the day we visited the pool with Aunt becca and Anna-Kate. (thanks for the pics, b!)
