imagination

One of my favorite parts about Camden's age is his fun imagination. He's always creating things and coming up with fun ideas. I remember being this age and spending hours outside making mud pies, playing in my "hide-outs", and whatever else my imagination could come up with. I am so excited to witness this fun stage with our kids.

This morning he decided to go camping while I was in the shower. He's done this before, but usually not without my help. This is what I came downstairs to, and I was very impressed! Look at his cute little campfire and the marshmallow he's roasting. Under his tent he's got a pillow, pj's, a snack, and a map for hiking. Sounds about right!

The other day I was busy doing something and I all of a sudden noticed that he had gone upsairs to put in his swimsuit, then kept coming in and out of the house with cup-fulls of water. I finally asked, "what are you doing Camden?!" This is what he was busy doing outside:

It was a homemade ocean! Perfect for a warm day.
