I went to Camden's school on Thursday for a little "Mother's Day Tea". It was SO much fun!!!!!! I just had the BEST time. I got there and sat down at the little spot Camden had all set up for me. He made me a placemat and there were a couple of little gifts waiting to be opened. We opened our presents and then we got to listen to the children sing us the most precious song... there is a video at the end of this post. Then, we got to see a little glimpse of their normal routine of talking about the alphabet, the weather, the date, and we got to listen to a couple of stories. After that, the children served us our drinks and snacks. We all felt so pampered and loved by our little ones!!
Mrs. Dowling... she's the best. She's been teaching for a long time and I believe Camden has learned so much from her class this year! This story was called "I love you because you're you", and I loved it!!! I had never heard it before, and I might need to invest in a copy.
I do not like this picture of me (I rarely like a picture of myself), but had to include one of me and my baby.
These are the sweet little gifts the kids made for us. A magnet with their name on it, a jewelry box and bracelet, and the placemat. There was also a beautiful hand-made flower as the centerpiece of the table that I forgot to get a picture of.
They also did a little questionnaire about their mommies. I love these kids of things!
My mother's name is: Ashley
How old is she? 24
Her favorite food is: Spaghetti
Something I like to do with my Mom is: watch movies with her
If I could give my Mom anything money could buy, I would buy her: a heart painting. I would put it next to a picture of me and her.
One thing my Mom really dislikes is: spiders
One thing my Mom is really good at: cooking
The thing I really want to thank my Mom for is: letting me leave the big giraffe in my bed
Last but certainly not least, the cute little song Camden sang for me. There's nothing sweeter than children singing. Most of us moms were on the verge of tears when they were singing this!
I just love being a mom. There are certainly hard/exhausting/frustrating times, but there are certain times that stick out to me that make me realize it is SO worth it. For example, a while back, Camden said to me, "Do you know why I love that you're my mommy? Because you do so many good things for me." Melt. My. Heart. There are so many times that I think I have become a servant/maid instead of a mom, but the thing is... a servant is exactly what I should be. It made me realize that the countless times I get up to make him a snack, refill his water bottle, or fold his clothes... he notices. I told Camden yesterday that I love being a mommy, and I wouldn't be a mommy if it wasn't for him!
Happy Mother's Day/Weekend to all you moms out there. I hope you feel loved, pampered, and appreciated.

Very sweet, happy Mother's Day :) You have the sweetest little boys.
I gotta ask... what was the "leaving the big giraffe in my bed" bit about though? Sounds like a good story!
LOVE this! Especially your sweet words at the end about being a mommy - I needed those precious reminders to start my week!
