8th percentile! WHAT?! This kid is SO different from his brother. The doctor said it's totally fine though, that it just proves he's always on the go... and he is! Anyone who knows Anderson would laugh in agreement.
The poor baby got SIX shots today, two of which were the regular flu and H1N1. It was so stressful to watch him get those shots. I didn't cry, but just sort of had a panicked feeling, like "please hurry up!!!!". Shots are no fun.
Here's what our little guy is up to at 12 months:
- Still takes 2 naps a day. Morning nap is 1.5 hours and afternoon nap is about 2 hours. I'm going to be sad when he gives up that morning nap!
- He sleeps from about 7:15 or 7:30 pm to about 7:30 am.
- He's not walking yet, but has started to show a little more confidence while holding onto our fingers than he used to. He will, however, stand still by himself for a good 10 seconds before he goes back down to the floor. Progress!
- We've started whole milk and ditched the bottle. It was a much easier transition than I anticipated. He still uses his pacifier only in the crib, but I am planning on trying to take it away after our trip to Texas in a week and a half.
- Anderson loves to eat. Some of his favorite foods include string cheese, strawberries, raisins, blueberries, mashed potatoes, chicken, broccoli, cucumbers, tomatoes, and jumbo rice krispies.
- One of his favorite activities at the moment is dumping out the entire box of lincoln logs, and putting each log back in the box, one by one. This keeps him busy for a good 15 minutes!
- He loves to be outside and LOVES dogs.
- He and Camden have really enjoyed starting to play together. The other day, Camden was dragging around Anderson in the laundry basket, and they were both cracking up. Camden will also imitate sounds Anderson makes and A thinks it's hilarious!! One of my favorite things is to see them throwing a ball back and forth. I love the sweet little bond they already have. Just love it.
He's a fun, busy little guy that we just loves to pieces!
Next up is Camden's 5 year check-up in December! Goodness gracious.

i love the update. and i really like your header photo with the boys and leaves. camden's expression is awesome.
that is fantastic that he got such a good report. It is simply amazing to me how similar A and JD are in size and schedules and activities. They are so much fun at this age!!
