4,000 steps

Hi everyone!

Next month, I am participating in "4,000 Steps", a 2-mile walk-a-thon, to raise money to support women (and their families) who are dealing with unplanned pregnancy. If you feel led, would you please support me to help me reach my goal? (Please do not feel obligated, I know money is tight for all.)

More than 3 million unplanned pregnancies happen in America each year!

3 million women face the difficult decision of whether or not to have an abortion, to parent, or to place for adoption every year... a seemingly unbearable path in every direction!

I'm walking 4,000 Steps because I believe every woman should have a non-judgmental, confidential place to work through this very difficult decision, and Pregnancy Support Services of Wake Forest provides that. Check out their site for more information.

PSS is a wonderful, Christian organization (very similar to LifeCare, which we are also huge advocates of). It has a free medical clinic for women to get pregnancy testing and an ultrasound to confirm their pregnancy. After that, the women get to work with a nurse for education and to identify and address all the obstacles they are facing with the unplanned pregnancy and develop solutions to those obstacles, which includes an extensive ongoing support program, supporting them until their baby turns 1 year old. This organization does not use any funds or legislative pursuits surrounding the abortion issue. They do not perform or refer for abortion.

If you would rather not donate but would love to walk with us, you can get more info about that here.

Thanks for reading!
